Lake Hamaike Country Club, located in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which enjoys a warm climate year-round, is a prestigious golf course designed by Taizo Kawada and supervised by Masahiro Kuramoto, opening in July 1991. This championship course hosted the 112th U.S. Open Japan Final Qualifier in 2012, and its excellent accessibility—approximately 3km from the Hamamatsu Inasa IC on the New Tomei Expressway—is another of its attractions. With a generous total yardage of 7,041 yards, the 18-hole rolling terrain course features natural undulations with elevation changes kept within approximately 30 meters. Intentional fairway slopes, strategically placed stymie trees and bunkers, and water hazards create a layout rich in strategic challenges that ignites the player's competitive spirit, allowing you to experience the true essence of a championship course. Holes 5 and 9 are long holes where two-shot greens are achievable, with the key to scoring depending on how well you navigate the deep bunkers around the green and in front. Hole 17, a right dogleg long hole with a two-tiered green, features a carry over a pond at the 210-yard mark. Straying too far to avoid the pond compromises the second shot, requiring a perfect shot based on precise calculation. The facility is equipped with a 250-yard, 10-bay driving range and a practice putting green.
