Mikawa Country Club

Mikawa Country Club, one of the Shizuoka Country Group facilities, is an 18-hole, 1 green golf course measuring 6,688 yards located in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture. This is a newly opened course that debuted in 1998, with Teruo Sugihara serving as course design consultant. It offers a layout that can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels, from beginners to advanced players. The course is approximately 15 minutes by car from the Toyokawa IC on the Tomei Expressway, and approximately 30 minutes from the Hamamatsu Inasa IC on the Shin-Tomei Expressway. The course is generally flat and surrounded by lush greenery. Of the four par 3 holes, three feature ponds and bunkers positioned strategically, requiring precise shot-making with careful distance control. The 3rd hole on the front nine is a straightforward middle hole, though players should be cautious of the out-of-bounds area and two-tiered green. The 18th hole on the back nine features an S-shaped layout with a downhill section midway through, and the approach to the green is a long hole where the fairway is flanked by a pond and bunker. The clubhouse offers a calm atmosphere, and the restaurant menu includes miso katsu, a specialty of Aichi Prefecture. Party meal courses are also available upon advance reservation. The bathing facilities feature a relaxed ambiance, allowing players to unwind comfortably after their round.
