Rokugo International Golf Club is a golf course located in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, that opened in 1975 under the design of Fukuichi Kato. It has hosted numerous tournaments, including the 2015 Japan Open Golf Championship. By car, the course is approximately 10 minutes from Mihani IC on the Hanshin Expressway Kita-Kobe Line, or approximately 8 minutes from Kobe-Nishi IC on the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway. It is easily accessible from the Kansai region, located approximately 60 minutes from central Osaka and approximately 80 minutes from Kyoto. Rokugo International Golf Club features a full 36-hole layout divided into East and West courses. The East Course is an internationally-standardized course used in the Japan Open, measuring 7,416 yards with beautiful scenery and demanding strategic design that captivates golfers. The West Course is an American-style course with varied character, designed by Jack Nicklaus, a renowned designer and former professional golfer from the United States. The courses are characterized by design that takes advantage of the natural landscape. On the 3rd hole, which is particularly susceptible to wind influence, precision and ball control are essential, requiring careful shots to avoid out-of-bounds to the right of the green. The facility boasts comprehensive amenities, including a 1,400-tsubo clubhouse with a stately exterior featuring Spanish tile, restrooms with women's powder rooms, and a practice range measuring 288 yards with 48 bays that enables practical training from putting to bunker shots.
