All 18 holes feature moderate elevation changes, characterized by steep elevated green complexes. Since its opening in 1965, known affectionately as the "White Swan Course," it has been loved by countless players and hosted the Japan Women's Open Golf Championship in 2001. Various open competitions and official tournaments are held regularly. Throughout the course, white birch forests strategically separate holes, with the 18th hole requiring precise shots while avoiding claustrophobic tree-lined areas, making it key to scoring. The 15th hole, one of the signature holes, is a beautiful downhill hole with Mount Muroran in full view, allowing for bold driving down the fairway center. Success requires clearing the bunker around 210 yards and carefully managing the severely sloped green from shorter distances. The 4th hole is a short hole demanding precise wind-sensitive reads, with the green heavily guarded by bunkers in front and on both sides, testing advanced approach skills. From spring through summer, easterly winds called "Yamase" blow strongly; autumn brings dominant northwest winds requiring precise trajectory adjustment. The 7th hole is a recommended drive contest hole with relatively short distance, but avoiding putting from beyond the fast-running green in the grain and securing a sure birdie is advisable. A 220-yard, 20-station driving range and practice area are available for pre-round warm-up practice. Muroran Golf Club is located in Sakimori-cho, Muroran City, Hokkaido, approximately 40 minutes by car from Chitose Interchange on the Dō-ō Expressway and about 20 minutes by taxi from JR Higashi-Muroran Station. With vehicle access, New Chitose Airport is approximately 70 minutes away, with nearby tourist destinations including Noboribetsu Onsen (about 40 minutes) and Lake Toya Onsen (about 50 minutes).
