Katori Country Club, located in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, is a golf course conveniently situated just 3 minutes from the Sawara-Katori IC on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway. Due to its excellent accessibility, it is frequently used as a venue for large-scale golf tournaments. Opened on December 1, 1992, Katori Country Club's appeal lies partly in its course layout designed by Thomas Brennan Quinn. The course is strategically demanding, testing the skills of even single-digit handicap players. The distinctive character of each hole ensures that players remain engaged throughout their round. The 18-hole course measures 6,640 yards in total length, but the subtly varied bunkers and water hazards positioned on each hole increase the difficulty of play. The opening hole, Out 1, is relatively short but yields significantly different scores depending on the approach strategy. The signature hole at Katori Country Club is the 4th hole on the outward nine. A middle hole with a slight right dogleg. Four cedar trees block the view ahead, creating uncertainty in the tee shot strategy. Long hitters may consider boldly aiming directly at the green over the bunker. The following 5th hole is a long hole with an out-of-bounds zone on the right and a pond on the left, requiring precise directional accuracy. Experience an exciting round while navigating around valleys and ponds. The course also offers numerous attractive plans, including Ladies' Day every Thursday.
