Hilly course. The outward nine offers views of the Echigo Sanzan mountains with many flat, long holes. The fairways feature undulations, and the rough continues with mounds. Overcoming distance is the primary challenge, with the valley carries at holes 7 and 8 being key to your score. The inward nine boasts even more spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. However, the terrain becomes more undulating, resulting in many downhill holes. The signature 15th hole features a steep downhill shot with water hazards guarding the front and back of the green, making distance control critical. The 18th hole has a fairway divided into two levels at different elevations, and the green also has a step, creating high difficulty.
