Otaki Country Club [PGM]

Otaki Country Club is a golf course owned and operated by PGM. Located in Otaki Town, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture, Otaki Country Club is a hillside course that opened on November 20, 1976, designed by renowned architect Sadakichi Mano, who has overseen numerous prestigious golf courses throughout the Kanto region. Within its vast 1.6 million square meter property, 27 holes spanning over 10,000 yards are distributed across three courses: East, West, and South. At the boundary with the 3rd hole of the South Course, mountain stones and approximately 3,000 azalea plants are positioned, with the restaurant offering carefully designed scenic views. The 6th hole of the East Course and the 2nd hole of the West Course are recommended nearest-the-pin holes and challenging par 3s. The key to conquering the East 6th hole, which features a downhill shot with approximately 17 meters of elevation change, is selecting a larger club, as headwind conditions may occur. The key to conquering the West 2nd hole is executing an accurate shot with proper direction and distance control, as double bunkers guard the front and out-of-bounds line both sides with little room for error. Attention should be paid to the 4th hole on the South Course, a middle hole prone to out-of-bounds; the key to scoring is playing safely with club selection other than driver on the tee shot. The course features a practice area with an approach zone up to 40 yards, a bunker practice area, a putting green, and a practice green with moderate undulation. A 230-yard, 20-station driving range allows warm-up before your round. By car, the course is within approximately 15 km from Ichihara-Tsurumae IC on the Shuto Expressway Central Circular Route. By train, Club bus service is available from JR Sotobo Line Mobara Station on all days except Mondays and national holidays.
