Shimi no Mori Golf Club

Shimi no Mori Golf Club is characterized by its excellent location, approximately 55 minutes by car from Hakozaki IC in Tokyo, or about 50 minutes via JR Soto-bo Line limited express train to the nearest station, Oami. The strategic course was designed by Chohei Miyazawa and features gently rolling hills, white sand bunkers, along with strategically positioned ponds and beautiful fountains. With scattered residential areas in the surrounding region, the course exudes an open feeling reminiscent of California, USA. Recommended driving distance holes are the 6th hole, where aiming for the left side of the fairway is key, and the 15th hole, where positioning the tee shot to the right allows for two-on possibilities. Recommended closest-to-the-pin holes are the 3rd hole, featuring a subtle three-tier wave green, and the 12th hole, where the pond right of the green is the strategic focal point. The 1st hole of the out course is the longest par on the course, where the expansive fairway allows you to fully enjoy the open feel. On the slightly downhill 3rd hole, strategic distance calculation based on pin position becomes crucial for lowering your score. On both the out and in courses, the final three holes feature large ponds and multiple water hazards, making tee shot placement the deciding factor in your score. The greens throughout the course are relatively large with scattered two-tier greens. Play via five-passenger self-driving cart equipped with GPS navigation allows even first-time visitors to enjoy the course comfortably. Additionally, a practice range with 15 bays at 100 yards is available, allowing thorough condition checks before playing the course.
