
Higashiko Gaoka Marine Hills Golf Club is located in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, and is a golf club with a total area of 1.7 million tsubo (approximately 560 hectares) featuring beautiful scenery overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The course design was undertaken by Takenaka Civil Engineering, and it opened in May 1992. The course is characterized by a wide and flat layout with strategic design elements, and has hosted Japanese men's professional tournaments. In addition to playing surrounded by grand natural scenery, the club offers the appeal of a resort atmosphere. The golf course is approximately 30 minutes by car from JR Okayama Station and approximately 60 minutes from Okayama Airport. When using expressways, Bizen IC is nearest from the Osaka direction, and Hayashima IC is nearest from the Hiroshima direction. Hole 18 is one of the signature holes where players can enjoy scenic natural vistas. It is the longest hole with a slight downhill elevation. There is a pond in front of the green, and a seaside bunker extends from the right front of the green. Hole 16 is a flat, straight hole with views of the picturesque Seto Inland Sea with its many islands. The club is fully equipped with a lodge with excellent views overlooking Hole 9 from all rooms and competition rooms. There is also a large public bath where guests can enjoy natural scenery, providing a moment of relaxation. The lobby overlooks both the green and the sea, and the second-floor veranda offers views of the out and in starting courses, allowing guests to spend their time away from play in a leisurely manner.
