Asahi Country Club

Asahi Country Club is a golf course with excellent accessibility located in Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It opened in 1966 under the design of Sadakichi Mano. By car, it is approximately 3 minutes from the Onoda Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway and approximately 8 minutes from the Habu Interchange. If using public transportation, JR Atsumishio Station, which is served by the Sanyo Shinkansen, is the nearest station. The outer nine holes feature gentle fairways surrounded by pine trees in a wooded setting, while the inner nine holes have holes arranged around a lake where white herons fly. The final three holes of both the outer and inner nines are equipped with night lighting, so you need not worry about play after sunset. Overall, the course allows for relaxed play. The 1st hole of the outer course is a downhill long hole. You can enjoy a pleasant tee shot while looking out on a straight fairway with excellent views. The 5th hole is a short hole over water. Pay attention to wind direction and putting on the green. The 11th hole of the inner course features a water hazard that continues along the right side to the green. From the green, you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake. Adjacent to the club is a full-scale large driving range. There are also practice areas for approach shots and bunker shots, making it convenient for confirming your shots before the round.
