Ube 72 Country Club is located in the center of Yamaguchi Prefecture and opened in 1960. It is the largest golf course in western Japan, featuring four courses centered around vast land and Mannentsuike pond. The Achi-su Course was designed by Osamu Ueda, a master of golf course design throughout Japan. It is the oldest course in the club and is known as a traditional championship course. Each hole is completely separated by lush, deep trees, surrounded by a quiet forest that perfectly embodies the phrase "playing in nature." Of course, the course grade is a full-scale championship course that has hosted PGA tournaments in 1986, 1987, and 1992, as well as the Yamaguchi Open every year.
