Located on a highland at 1,000 meters elevation, this golf course is surrounded by primordial forest in Izu, offering refreshing play where you can forget the summer heat. Inoue himself left a remarkable statement that among the world's renowned courses, he could find no location blessed with better conditions. This champion course represents the culmination of his design experience and knowledge gained over many years. Designer's Statement: I have traveled the world observing famous courses, but I can say without exaggeration that I have never found a location blessed with conditions as ideal as Amagi Kogen Golf Course. The 18-hole, 6,780-yard champion course gracefully laid out across 400,000 tsubo of pristine nature represents the culmination of my experience and knowledge accumulated over more than thirty years.
