Gotemba Toumei Golf Club is a golf course owned by PGM. This course, located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture, opened in September 1978 and was designed by Seizo Tomisawa. It is a relatively flat course with moderate undulation, divided into a strategic out course and an in course that tests accuracy. On 16 of the 18 holes, players can enjoy views of majestic Mt. Fuji while appreciating the rich forests and birdsong, which is a major attraction. The signature hole is the 12th, a downhill middle hole where the key to scoring is to aggressively attack up to the 240-yard center tree and aim for the large A green. Additionally, the 15th short hole, where accurate reading of wind and distance is crucial, features a tricky design with a pond wrapping around the front of the green, making club selection important. With the green getting faster from back to front, this is a difficult hole with the risk of three putts. The facility includes a driving range with 19 tee stations at 120 yards, and an "Approach & Bunker Practice Area" measuring 80 yards wide by 50 yards deep, ideal for practice and warm-up close to tournament conditions. The well-manicured greens and surrounding areas allow for situational practice repetition. The bathhouse in the substantial clubhouse uses subterranean water from Mt. Fuji drawn from 250 meters below ground, thoroughly refreshing tired bodies after play. By car from Tokyo, take the Toumei Expressway to approximately 15 minutes from Gotemba IC. From Komado Smart IC, access time is just 3 km or 5 minutes.
